Prior to joining the VisionAmerica team, Dr. Raymond DeBarge was the owner of a successful ophthalmology practice in Ft Oglethorpe, GA and Jasper, TN for 30 years. Along with cataract and general ophthalmology surgery, he brings with him a unique skill set having completed a fellowship in Uveitis and Ocular Immunology at the National Eye Institute’s Laboratory of Immunology.

Dr. DeBarge completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia and his residencies in internal medicine and ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.

How do you spend your time away from the office? I enjoy biking, swimming and running. But one of my most enjoyable pastimes is spent as a Vintner, operating my own vineyard and winery in North Georgia.
