Dr. Johnnie R. “J.R.” Nobles, Jr., specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex eye diseases, in addition to the pre-operative and post-operative management of a variety of surgical procedures.

Dr. Nobles received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science from Auburn University, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then entered the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. He graduated with academic honors and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.

Dr. Nobles is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alabama Optometric Association.

What career would you pursue if you weren’t in medicine? Athletics/sports management

Do you have any pets? Yes, I have one dog.

How do you like to spend your time away from the office? I enjoy spending time with my family and kids; sports and traveling.
