Dr. Barrett Paulk, a Birmingham, Alabama native, graduated summa cum laude in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. After completing an internship at Brookwood Baptist Health, he underwent ophthalmology residency training at Callahan Eye Hospital.

While in medical school, Dr. Paulk was inducted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He has authored publications for medical and surgical journals and is actively involved in community service, locally and internationally.

Dr. Paulk specializes in cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, glaucoma management, eyelid surgery, and Botox injections. He resides in Huntsville with his family.

How do you spend your time away from the office: I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons.

Hobbies:  I enjoy the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, traveling, cycling, and hiking. I am also a proud Auburn alumnus and enjoy attending Auburn sporting events.
