Dr. Stephen E. Solomon, leads Huntsville Neuro-Ophthalmology at VisionAmerica, offering specialized care for patients with complex neuro-ophthalmic conditions.

Dr. Solomon brings extensive training and experience in neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuroradiology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He completed his internship at Massapequa General Hospital in New York, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He then pursued advanced fellowships at the University of Kentucky in neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuroradiology.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Solomon is an active researcher and principal investigator in several NIH-supported clinical trials. His work focuses on managing complex conditions such as multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and shunt failures in pediatric and adult patients, as well as headache management.
